Bill Clinton did real damage to a great nation during the 1990s

Bill Clinton and the democratic party did real damage to a great nation during the 1990's, now the same people want back in the oval office to do it again. What damage ? Under the Clintons the intelligence community was cut to bare bones. Humint was almost nonexistent at the CIA. The Bush administration has rebuilt the CIA,NSA and FBI to pre 1991 levels but more needs to be done. Under Clinton foreign intelligence officers from China had access to the most secure sensitive places in DC. The Pentagon. and The White House. Under Clinton, Janet Reno launched a campaign against anyone who's politics deviated from her own. Example: Waco, Ruby Ridge, Gonzales case in Florida. The Clintons restructured the Pentagon The Bush administration has retooled and corrected many organizational flaws at the Pentagon. Under Clinton appointees to top Defense positions were based on friendship and not rank, merit or time served. Example: Gen. Clark The Bush administration got rid of the political appointees of the Clintons and advanced officers who would best get the job done. Large beefy defense projects adopted under the Clinton presidency were scrapped in favor of more rapidly deployable weapons systems. Clinton tried to interface the American military with the UN and every single endeavor ended in total failure. Examples: Bosnia, Kosovo, Haiti and Iraq during the mid-1990's..Add North Korea to the list. Clinton foreign policy was a horrible mess. The Israeli Palestine peace accords led to the USA's weakened position in the Arab World, we were viewed as a push over. The Arabs respect force and strength, we showed weakness by wanting to give too much too early in the game. The Balkans are a big mess due to Albright's need to have a legacy on the world stage at any cost, ditto on North Korea. Mr. Bush has showed the world we are willing to go at it alone no matter what the cost and by flexing our military muscle and strength the world respects us, sure they maybe jealous but that is their problem. The USA is still who everyone looks to solve their problems while under Clinton they had to turn to the keystone cops over at the UN. Clintons failures in security, defense and intelligence led to the events of 9-11 it was no one time event out of the blue. It was a series of events that started under his watch that built to 9-11 because of his inaction. Bush is trying hard to build a lasting world wide intelligence network to combat terror wherever it is, this is the right thing to do. Fight terror over there before it comes over here.

Friends we can not afford another Clinton era like presidency, that is exactly what we are going to get if John Kerry wins in November. I don't think our country can stand it. If he winds we will be a weak country at best and a nuclear wasteland at worst. Re-elect BUSH in 2004 !

I don't seem to recall reading about 5 or 6 hundred funerals at VA cemeteries during the term that Clinton was the president. Oh, well, what's a few funerals when we can have a bunch of happy spooks spending our tax dollars?

I don't remember reading about the good 'ol U S of A being 8th in longevity or 12th in health care stastics amongst the industrialized nations during the term Clinton was the president. Oh, well, what's a few hundred fighter planes at 30,000,000.00 each when we can be the only industrialized country with a rise in infant mortality since the middle of the 1940's?

I don't remember reading about the good 'ol U S of A spending itself into bankruptcy during the term Clinton was the president? Clinton actually had a tax decrease because he cleaned up the deficate and used the surplus to pay for programs. But the bushlite deficate is actually a tax increase because it takes appropriated revenue and diverts the spending to other programs that have to be paid for with dedicate revenue from those programs. And where does the money for the diverted spending come from? You, no one else.

That is impugning something for which there is no credible support. I never implied that I was seeking socialism. But I would like to see a lower national debt. I don't quite understand why it is more American to perpetuate out of control spending that will ultimately make the U.S. subservient to the rest of the world. That seems to be the Republican goal - destroy America by destroying the American economy. Sounds pretty unpatriotic to me. I'd prefer to see this country survive and prosper. We can't do that with a national debt that is escalating at the current rate.

Oh yes please, more lies, more wars.

Some of you may ask how can we prosper with a soaring national debt , what about our economy ? Well we can not prosper with cities smoldering under radioactive rubble, if we do not take a proactive approach as Bush is doing this country will be destroyed. A national debt we can over come with hard work. But radioactive fallout and smallpox attacks we may not be able to overcome. These are times as trying as those during World War Two, we must be up to the task and not quit. President Bush is the right man at the right time to lead this country through these trying times. Our enemies are numerous, the threat is near, we must be ready to fight and live. If we do nothing we will all pay the price and die. God Bless The USA.
