In the image link above, a name is blanked out, covering a space of about 28 characters. The full name and title 'Congressman George H.W. Bush', including all of the letters, spaces and punctuation, is exactly 28 characters long. Drop that name into the blanked out area in this letter and it makes perfect sense how George W. Bush dodged the Vietnam draft with help from his dad.

Lemme get this straight...if Kerry 'joined the Navy', doesn't that mean he SERVED?
And if I'm not mistaken, at least the guy set foot IN Vietnam for at least one tour.
However, if Kerry 'joined the Navy' before he could get 'drafted', that does not make him a 'draft dodger' in the usual sense of the word. He didn't 'dodge the draft' in order not to serve. He joined up so he didn't have to sweat GETTING drafted in the first place. Lots of guys did that, figuring they might as well 'get it over with'.
And remember, this is a guy of privelege we're talking about, here. If anybody could've dodged 'Nam, John Kerry could have done it, and done it quite easily.
Not that any of this means that Kerry is somehow any better than Dubya (he's not...didja hear the one about them being distantly related? It's a doozy...) I just thought I'd get you to think about maybe re-clarifying your definition 'draft dodger', because your current one is a wee bit off the mark...

Move on, nothing to see here. Never mind the fact that plenty of people get honorable discharges without earning them.
What I don't understand is why you people who put such faith in honorable discharges aren't absolutely *outraged* that they're sometimes issued for less-than-honorable service.

ALLOW ME!
So even though Bush's discharge WAS honorable, we are to be outraged that -some- 'honorable' discharges are sometimes *less* than honorable?
This might mean more if there were *any* evidence that you knew the meaning of the word 'HONOR'.

That allegation has been made by you about Bush.
Deny it, I dare you.
