http://www.rmbowman.com. : And 'THEY' say the military is 'a-political'. HA! Like politicians, 'only for the camera', 'only for the camera'. Military members are from all walks of life; they represent America, except for the wealthy. Other than the wealthy, American military members come from the streets and towns and countrysides of the nation, consequently, the military is composed of all that's in America. Their reasons for going are as different as their numbers. Officers regardless of the terrain, in war or out, are rarely 'where the rubber meets the road'..their knowledge of reality is based entirely on hearsay and more often than not they are told what they want to hear...rather than what in fact 'is'. They cause many enlisted people harm without even knowing the individual..they get 'stories' about a person to them who is nothing more than ink on paper. Taking away a soldier/airman//sailor's pay is done without a second thought. Officers are 'yes' 'men'. It's political and just like Kerry (JFK= Just For Kerry), that's what officers are about..putting their 'x' in the box and moving on...to higher pay and more ego trips. Many officers who are promoted to Colonel and higher go to the pentagon. From what I've seen, the caliber of officers that go to the Pentagon is the reason for the lack of leadership. They have no balls...its all about smiling for the camera and getting a higher paycheck. The have no idea of the life and struggles of E1-E6, and don't care. But they Bogart all the positive results from those low-lifes, and punish them for negative results. Class warfare reigns. Officers are automatically promoted to the next grade based on longetivity, (time in grade, and time in rank), then after the automatic pay increases, they are promoted for ass-kissing politicians. There is no high ranking officer who isn't a politician. It's just another layer of politics, and many incapable of making a decision must join an outfit where they have to be told what to do. Five year olds in uniforms making big salaries for attending meetings who don't know shit from canola about what goes on in their ranks.
