I mean we got Saddam didn't we? We destroyed his regime and captured or killed more than half of the people in the card list. We established that Saddam Hussein either didn't have Weapons of Mass Destruction or destroyed them just before we came. We won the war. So what's the point of staying?
Coalition soldiers keep dying in Iraq. It is a very dangerous place to be at the moment.
When are the soldiers coming home? Someone please answer me.

If we leave now, before their new government is in place, it will create an internal struggle for power, result in iraq being split into 3 new countries and destabalize the region more than it was before.
Even the UN and France and Germany understand this and don't want the US to leave Iraq until the new government is in place.

So what? Its none of our business what the Iraqis decide to do with themselves now. Why should we clean up the resulting mess at the cost of our soldiers lives? Bring em home I say!

I would agree with you if i felt conifident we would have a strong enough president and congress to do it again when needed. Of course if it was me I never would of put men on the ground, I would of just declared Iraq a fireing range for our Navy and air Force.

The 'internal struggle' could be an example of democracy. The '3 new countries' could stop bickering for possession of the arbitrarily formed territory called Iraq.
